Jeff 'SKI' Kinsey was the founder and publisher of TOCreview magazine, an international business publication that featured Constraints Management success stories from around the world. He is also the author, with Thayer Bennett, of Purple Curve Effect. SKI is a recognized speaker on Constraints Management, the Open Source software movement, and Marketing in the 21st century. An educator, he also taught Computer Science for ten years, including Continuing Education for Kent State University, Tuscarawas Campus. Since the events of September 11, 2001, SKI spends a lot time on his various motorcycles, touring the USA and helping friends move their businesses to the next level.

After several rejection slips, SKI decided it was time to self-publish his book. Throughput Press was the result of that decision in the spring 2004. Over the last 20+ years, SKI has also created, organized and promoted a variety of conferences and workshops. Combining the two efforts, publishing and workshops, makes a lot of sense (in hindsight), and this first Purple Curve Workshop, based on the book, Purple Curve Effect, is the result.
